When I was a junior at university, I got diagnosed with a bone problem. Being a sports lover, it meant that I could never play football again like I did before. It felt to me like the world was over but not many people could comprehend that feeling. To my surprise, 2 primary schoolmates learnt about the news and came visit me at my home. They were sports players themselves too, and I could tell that they understood my feelings; My brother also said something really touching, that goes “I am willing to stop playing football for you too, to make you feel less alone.” They didn’t cure my bone condition, but their tremendous support gave me the strength to carry on.
