Jim has lived in Hong Kong for more than 30 years and is passionate about promoting health, fitness, and well-being. With first-hand experience of the challenges people face in sustaining both mental and physical health, he has been an active member of the Mind Hong Kong board for over six years. During this time, he has raised significant sponsorship funding for both Mind HK and Mind UK by running multiple marathons, and he continues to be a vocal ambassador for the importance of positive mental health, leading his lifestyle by example.
Alongside his work with Mind HK, Jim is involved with several social and commercial enterprises focused on wellness and sustainable lifestyles. For his own well-being, he embraces running, strength training, and Latin dancing.
Jim graduated from King’s College London in 1990 with a First Class Honours degree in Biological Chemistry. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, HKICPA) and spent 35 years in the corporate world, including 15 years in executive leadership roles across Asia Pacific and globally. Today, he brings his experience, energy, and values of vitality, perseverance, and gratitude into his work and daily life, with a continued focus on organisations and causes that promote health, fitness, and mental well-being.
