A parent’s mental health forms the cornerstone of a happy family. Frequently, parents instinctively prioritise their children’s needs, often at the expense of their own emotional wellbeing. Research indicates that approximately 12.6% and 16.5% of adults aged 25 to 55 in Hong Kong experience depression or anxiety. More importantly, parental stress levels have a direct impact on their children’s psychological wellbeing.
Mind HK is dedicated to promoting mental health education for parents. Over the past few years, through our training programmes and evidence-based psychological support services, we have delivered over 12,500 support sessions and trained 6,400 individuals to improve their mental health literacy.
We invite you to a Zoom webinar focusing on parental mental health. We are excited to welcome Dr Michelle Tam, Specialist in Psychiatry, and Dr Candice Powell, CEO and Clinical Psychologist at Mind HK. Together, they will share insights on how to balance family care with your own emotional needs, identify early signs of stress, and access appropriate support to ensure you do not have to face emotional difficulties alone.
