AEMIHK recruits and trains the ex-mentally ill to help reduce stigma by sharing their experiences through dialogue at “human library events”.
Virtual Reality-based vocational training for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder to enhance their employability and strengthen their interpersonal and adaptation skills. The project also provides workshops for employers to increase their understanding and promote acceptance in the workplace.
Services include assessment and programmes tailored to the students needs and abilities, as well as training, education and workshops for teachers, school personnel, parents and caregivers.
The Project provides family support services for families whose children under 18 years of age struggle with mental illness. The goal is to promote mental wellbeing and build resilience through family-centered counseling, child-focused psychoeducational groups, wellness programs and parent-focused support programmes.
Targeted for PWA aged 15+ (IQ of 70 and above), individualised services such as counseling and training programs develop their social competence, employability and emotional management skills, particularly to cope with the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.
The Wellness Centres offers integrated district-based community support services by clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, mental health education officers, peer support workers and program workers.
