When you lost your keys,Forgot your phone<\/p>\n

You lost the stability<\/p>\n

When you lost your feels<\/p>\n

You lost your sanity<\/p>\n

When you lost your fears<\/p>\n

You lost your anxiety<\/p>\n

When you lost your tears<\/p>\n

You lost your honesty<\/p>\n

When you lost your dreams<\/p>\n

Yes<\/p>\n

You lost your modesty<\/p>\n

Speed, progress, dynamics,<\/p>\n

Where is the diversity of being slow<\/p>\n

Taking your time<\/p>\n

I know<\/p>\n

Your generation relied on flowers<\/p>\n

Dates, swans and roller coaster rides<\/p>\n

And your father’s permission<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s 2023 now<\/p>\n

Nudes are the currency of love<\/p>\n

So let your soul be naked<\/p>\n

Stop shaming<\/p>\n

Judging, criticising<\/p>\n

And everytime I feel like we are getting there,<\/p>\n

Burning the stigma<\/p>\n

Everytime i feel good<\/p>\n

I hope it will last forever, but it doesn’t<\/p>\n

These states<\/p>\n

Will wax and wane<\/p>\n

In the bad times,<\/p>\n

There will always be good times<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the way we need to learn to recognize it<\/p>\n

And appreciate it<\/p>\n

The world has never been black and white<\/p>\n

And I’m a clearly a mother now<\/p>\n

Alienated from my friends group<\/p>\n

Motherhood\u2026huh<\/p>\n

I’m overwhelmed, excited, hysterical<\/p>\n

Evaluating what’s important<\/p>\n

If it’s not phone, keys<\/p>\n

Its nappies, naps, nipples<\/p>\n

I cry a little when people let me sit down on MTR,<\/p>\n

I’m an emotional wreck<\/p>\n

A rom-com material<\/p>\n

Or is it the internet? Instagram?<\/p>\n

What is it for mothers why do we keep blaming them<\/p>\n

For societal issues, guilt, anxieties, fears<\/p>\n

Passed onto us already when already in labour<\/p>\n

Figure of mother is held accountable,<\/p>\n

Do you still remember and appreciate your independence?<\/p>\n

Always being there, providing care, justice and a<\/p>\n

Safe space,<\/p>\n

pretending to be a responsible adult<\/p>\n

Pay attention to what mothers have to say,<\/p>\n

Please<\/p>\n

From deep within through their bodies and minds<\/p>\n

Paralysing overprotection<\/p>\n

Understanding our own mothers now<\/p>\n

Hearing the lies of children to cover it all up<\/p>\n

to avoid unnecessary fights<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the maternal intuition<\/p>\n

We treat motherhood as the place of glory, a place of lights<\/p>\n

A palace we lodge, or rather bury,<\/p>\n

the reality of our own conflicts in an outside world<\/p>\n

Out of home space<\/p>\n

Universe is a superwoman,<\/p>\n

But thanks to all of this, the pregnancy, motherhood, mental health<\/p>\n
