Hi, my name is Bruce D<\/p>\n

May I have your attention please?<\/p>\n

Just a quick disclaimer before we start this piece of poetry<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll warn you now that this might seem full of profanity<\/p>\n

But please understand I don\u2019t mean any of this offensively<\/p>\n

I just have a propensity for processing by putting words together obsessively<\/p>\n

Cos intrusive thoughts tend to be floating deep in my head extensively<\/p>\n

Devilishly begging me to fill them with obscenity,<\/p>\n

But I guess that\u2019s why they often suggest journaling in therapy<\/p>\n

I just can\u2019t help but connect the words sent to me dementedly,<\/p>\n

Cos like all of us I\u2019ve got a slim shady lurking inside of me<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s percolating ideas while biding his time<\/p>\n

Dying to spit some crazy rhymes that\u2019re simply sublime<\/p>\n

But these days satire\u2019s a tricky line to define<\/p>\n

And already my anxiety\u2019s telling me this whole thing\u2019s fucking asinine<\/p>\n

Relax bitch, bury it with a glass of wine, it\u2019s fine, I\u2019m divine<\/p>\n

But for the sake of time I\u2019ll try to do this quickly, hopefully<\/p>\n

At least before the alcoholic bitch sobers up and chokes me<\/p>\n

But really, anxiety\u2019s no real cause for dismay, so anyways,<\/p>\n

Welcome to dead poets society,<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve got something to say<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Now please, discard your sensitivities and have a seat<\/p>\n

I’m boutta show you how to make words dance even without a beat<\/p>\n

Cos even though at first glance, you might not think this of me<\/p>\n

But I promise you, I did get a creative writing degree<\/p>\n

I know, it\u2019s not very Asian of me<\/p>\n

But I never really liked stereotypes<\/p>\n

So go ahead, stigmatize about dick size all you like<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure the low hanging fruit must taste real frickin nice<\/p>\n

But really, we both know they\u2019re just spiteful slights<\/p>\n

And they\u2019re far from erudite, belittling based on perceived sights<\/p>\n

Despite the human soul\u2019s lights having more color than just white<\/p>\n

But still annoyingly they have quite the tendency<\/p>\n

to retain tenancy living in rent free like a fucking parasite<\/p>\n

And speaking of lights, I\u2019ll readily admit that I actually prefer nights<\/p>\n

but I\u2019m diamond so while I\u2019m up here lemme refract this spotlight<\/p>\n

And highlight some issues that desperately need more rights<\/p>\n

Maybe I\u2019m crazy or maybe I\u2019m just a lil bit shady,<\/p>\n

but I think I might as well shine this light<\/p>\n

since I\u2019m already buried in this B rabbit energy, right?<\/p>\n

I mean really, don\u2019t you think this is a linguistically beautiful sight?<\/p>\n

This miracle piece of empirically satirically antagonistic lyrical delight<\/p>\n

Or is it just me?<\/p>\n

Ah shit, there\u2019s the anxiety<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To be honest though, I\u2019m a little embarrassed to confess<\/p>\n

But I think it\u2019s about to time for me to finally address<\/p>\n

How othering had me more than a little distressed<\/p>\n

Depressed from my teens to my early twenties more or less<\/p>\n

Where a lack of success had me possessed by insecurities<\/p>\n

When really all along it\u2019s just been a work in progress<\/p>\n

But I guess belonging\u2019s a little harder when you\u2019re a yellow like me<\/p>\n

Cos historically media\u2019s always painted us on the outside you see<\/p>\n

And even if it was just metaphorically,<\/p>\n

my favorite shows would still satirize people who looked like me<\/p>\n

And the only way we ever made top five was asian females in Pornhub categories<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong I\u2019m not asking to be idolized<\/p>\n

But neither have I ever committed any crimes<\/p>\n

At worst, I\u2019m only complicit in punching a couple of lines<\/p>\n

But I’d never punch down on anyone just to climb<\/p>\n

I\u2019m just refusing to be minimized<\/p>\n

So now I\u2019m left wondering how we can compromise<\/p>\n
