Mind HK is pleased to announce the launch of its new Youth Wellbeing Practitioner (YWP) online service platform. This is Mind HK’s first programme offering direct service to the community. From now until April 30, 2023, free youth mental health support is now available via remote sessions  to young people (18-24) in Hong Kong facing mild-moderate challenges, including low mood, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, procrastination and concentration issues, and more.

8 one-on-one sessions facilitated by our YWPs will be provided to eligible applicants for free. Online YWP services are available in English and Cantonese from December 2022 to April 2023.  Through this programme, Mind HK hopes to extend its work to support more local young people who are facing mental health challenges.

About the Youth Wellbeing Practitioner Programme

The Mind HK and MINDSET Youth Wellbeing Practitioner (YWP) programme is a youth mental health initiative designed and developed by Mind HK. The programme is fully funded by Jardines MINDSET, HongKong Land HOME FUND, and the HKEX Foundation, and has trained 50 Youth Wellbeing Practitioners to deliver Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based early support to youth (aged 12-24), who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

The practitioners are placed in community settings such as schools, universities, clinics, NGOs, and Mind HK (online)from September 2022 to June 2023, to provide free mental health support to youth in need.
