What does it mean to have work-life balance? How can we create workplaces conducive to supporting staff mental health? What can we do to improve to best balance our own work, life, and wellbeing?

These are a few, of many questions which Mind HK, Talking Mental, and CMHA HK will be bringing to the table at an interactive panel session on May 14.

Speakers will delve deep and uncover the impact of work stress on our health, provide practical workplace strategies to support work-life balance and ultimately, learn how we can take care of our mental health.

1 in 7 people in Hong Kong are currently experiencing a mental health problem; Hong Kong’s lack of work-life balance plays into this. We have the longest working hours in the world (50.1 hours per week on average) and 40% of adults experience insomnia. Employees recognise a need and it is time senior leaders, HR professionals, and managers take note of this — 92% of Hong Kong-ers believe their industry needs more support dealing with mental health in the workplace.

Come hear from individuals and professionals that are trying to shed light and tackle this issue head on.
