A standard, 12 hour Mental Health First Aid course at Gleneagles Hospital.

  • Just as First Aid helps you to assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised qualification that helps you to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis.
  • Trainees learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, including suicide awareness and prevention.
  • Mental Health Literacy and Orientation is recommended prerequisite to MHFA. The next Mental Health Literacy and Orientation course will be on October 13th, 2018. You may register here
