From personality to core values, our family of origin, which is the family we grew up in, significantly influences who we are today. Have you ever thought about why you respond to events in specific ways? Learning about our growing experiences using theories from family therapy can help us to better accept our emotions and break the vicious cycles in our actions.
We invite you to join our Manulife x Mind HK Your Mental Health Matters event to discover how our families of origin influence aspects such as our personality and emotional system.
We are excited to have crossmedia content creator, Hui Yin, to be a part of this event. Hui-yin talked about his upbringing and revisited his student years in a recent movie ‘Once Upon a Time in HKDSE’. He is passionate about discussing mental health issues, and will be joining Opal, our clinical advisor and counselling psychologist, in a conversation about how one’s family background influences their growth and decision-making.
