DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid Standard Course – An internationally recognised and accredited qualification. Register Now \nWhat is MHFA? \nMHFA is an internationally recognised and accredited qualification. Just like physical health first aid\, mental health first aid teaches practical ways to manage mental health symptoms and crises. Participants will gain a sound knowledge of a wide range of mental health diagnoses\, ways to assess and directly help those experiencing a mental health problem\, and how to effectively refer them to further support. \nMental Health First Aid (MHFA) will cover: \n\nBasic knowledge about common mental health problems and related crisis situations\nWhat you can provide as a lay person and when to get help\nMHFA Action Plans\nIntervening and managing mental health emergencies as a first responder like Panic attacks\, Suicide\, Self-harm and Addictions\nIdentify the resources available in the local community\n\nCompletion of this MHFA training (e-learning & Zoom sessions) will lead to being internationally certified in MHFA. A certificate will be awarded to participants with FULL attendance. All of our trainings are delivered by Mind HK staff or Mental Health Professionals. The minimum age for attendance is 18. \n*This is not a course to train someone to become a mental health professional. \n*Participants will also recieve a free entry to our upcoming Online mental health 101 session on Feb 10 at 6-7pm. \nRegistration Link: www.eventbrite.hk/e/mindhk-online-mental-health-first-aid-standard-course-oct-2024-tickets-884664735037 \nFormat of Online MHFA: \nThe Online MHFA course is composed of 2 stages: \n\nOnline E-Learning (Feb 10 – Feb 16).\n\n\nYou are required to complete ALL modules before attending the Part B live Zoom sessions. (You will receive your e-platform login details by Feb 10 10am)\n\n\n2 Live Zoom sessions (Feb 17 & 18 \, 7pm – 930pm).\n\n\nLinks to the Zoom sessions will be accessible once you have completed ALL online modules on the e-platform.\nYou are required to attend ALL sessions\, with your camera and mic ready.\n\n*Due to the current Covid situation in Hong Kong\, we will organise SF deliveries (HKD30 pay at door) for the MHFA booklets instead of self-collection. Please enter your delivery address or SF locker code correctly. Deliveries will be made on Feb 10 AM and you can track your parcel by logging in the SF app or website with your mobile number. \nCost: \nHK$900pp (standard cost) *Receipts will only be from Eventbrite for standard tickets \nHK$750pp (NGOs\, Students\, Partner Organisations) *If you are unsure about eligibility\, please contact training@mind.org.hk.
